About the author…

Rachel A.G. Gilman is a prose writer and editor whose work explores gender, culture, and humor. Her work has been published in journals throughout the US, UK, and Australia. She is the Creator/Editor-in-Chief of The Rational Creature, a womxn arts zine, and was Editor-in-Chief of Columbia Journal, Issue 58. Previously, she was the General Manager of WNYU-FM and the award-winning Executive Producer of “The Write Stuff” podcast where she interviewed more than 80 authors including Joyce Carol Oates, Amy Hempel, and Teju Cole. She has worked in publishing with literary agencies Liza Dawson Associates and Lutyens & Rubinstein, as well as independent houses W. W. Norton, Grove Atlantic, and Oxford University Press.

Rachel holds an MFA from Columbia University in Writing, Nonfiction, and a BA from NYU in Individualized Study. She is completing an MSt from the University of Oxford in Creative Writing. She is at work on a novel about burnout culture and an autofiction collection on horniness/unrequited love.
